Gas Detection Calibration Service

Gas detectors require calibation as defined by the manufacturer or when an instrument fails a bump test (a qualitative function check where a challenge gas is passed over the sensor(s) to check whether sensors and alarms are working as intended. A bump test should be performed at least once a day prior to use). It is common for users to have instruments calibrated at 6 monthly intervals, unless the bump test fails earlier. If an instrument suffers a severe shock it should be immediately re-calibrated.

We offer in-house calibration, maintenance and repairs on all MSA gas detectors. Get in contact with your local Safety Specialist for more information.
